• increased public education, dissemination and publicity to raise awareness and foster a culture in which relationships are valued, and it is acceptable to seek support;
• help provided early - before problems become intractable;
• appropriate and tailored support at the time people need it;
• support that is accessible, timely and affordable;
• better support for children - including relationship education - which takes account of their needs;
• diversity recognised and catered for;
• more innovative and varied ways of delivering support;
• resources spent effectively, with appropriate monitoring and evaluation; and
• more research and development projects.
