“It’s Good To talk”, To The Right Person
Talking to the right people gets you the right help.
Someone asked me if I’m a private person? My response was I think so.
Not being sure about whether I can confide in a perfect stranger or not is possibly part of my problem, but I need to talk, to get this off my chest therefore who can I trust, who can advise me properly, or point me in the right direction, my family, friend, co workers?
A therapist or counsellor must be trained, supervised and accountable with qualifications that can be checked against a list held by a mainstream organisation such as the British Association of Counsellors.
The nature of any agreement between you and a service provider must be spelled out so that you understand the boundaries of what they may receive, for what you may pay.
Well talking to people I know doesn’t cost me anything so why should I pay for it? Maybe because;
"Nothing in life is free" and
"You get what you pay for" and
"Everything has a price."
What has this conflict in my relationship cost me so far?
If the conflict continues what would it cost me?
Would it be better to pay a little now, or a lot later?
What if I don’t have the money, can I still get help?
The answers to some of the questions you are asking could be found when you begin to talk to someone who is qualified, who is professional, who is registered, who is neutral, who is open minded, and who has no agenda.
"Why talk to strangers?"
The fact that I don’t know you - suits me fine.
