How many of us are sick of seeing new diets appear every week which seduce us into thinking that, if we just eat less and healthier we will have the body we crave?
Of course, if we burn more than we eat we will lose weight, but as we all know, for most of us it is never as easy as that. As soon as we lose it and go back to our old ways - it all piles on again.
Why?
Because for many of us, what we eat, when we eat and how much of what we eat is linked to how we feel.
The diets do not take into account all of these factors, so we end up changing what we eat (temporarily!) but we are still left with all the feelings of guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness, stress etc, which we use food to mask.
The issue is not one dimensional and so the treatment isn’t.
Our weight challenges, not only affect how we feel about ourselves, but also impacts every aspect of our lives and relationships.
